Clinician Jobs in Richmond, VA

Provide therapy and clinical support under supervision while building hours toward licensure.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide individual and group therapeutic services under clinical supervision
  • Complete assessments and support treatment planning
  • Document care in electronic health records
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team
  • Support crisis intervention and safety planning when needed

You're a fit if you have:

  • Master’s in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field
  • License-eligible for LCSW, LPC, or equivalent
  • Behavioral health experience (1 to 3 years preferred)

Mental Health Nursing Careers in Richmond, VA

Deliver routine nursing care, medication support, and health monitoring for clients with behavioral health and medical needs.

What you’ll do:

  • Administer medications and injections per orders and protocol
  • Monitor vital signs, assess symptoms, and document responses
  • Collect specimens (venipuncture, urine drug screens, labs)
  • Coordinate care with providers, case managers, and pharmacies
  • Educate clients on medication and wellness practices

You're a fit if you have:

  • Virginia LPN credential
  • 1 to 3 years in mental health, medical, residential, or long-term care

What to Expect During Hiring at RBH

Please be advised that Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is subject to the requirements of regulation 12VAC35-105-510 which states that each new employee, contractor, student or volunteer who will have direct contact with individuals receiving services shall obtain a statement of certification by a qualified licensed practitioner indicating the absence of tuberculosis in a communicable form within 30 days of employment or initial contact with individuals receiving services.

Richmond Behavioral Health is committed to protecting the safety, health, and well-being of all employees and other individuals in our workplace. Therefore, we have established a drug-free workplace program that applies to all RBHA employees to balance our respect for individuals with the need to maintain a safe, productive, alcohol and drug-free environment.

Each employee, as a condition of employment, will be required to participate in pre-employment substance use screenings.

In an effort to ensure the safety of our consumers and to protect the interests of the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority, The Authority requires that all individuals hired in positions responsible for operating Authority vehicles must have an unrestricted licensed and an acceptable driving record to operate a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Motor Vehicle Records: provides a report on an individual's driving history in the state requested. This search will be run when driving is an essential requirement of the position.
