Medical & Psychiatric Services
Psychiatric Services
Most consumers who are admitted to RBHA for treatment through the Adult Mental Health Division are eligible to receive ongoing care from an on-site psychiatrist. Monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly appointments are coordinated through the Medication Unit (Crisis Intake and Medical Services) via the Primary Service Provider.
Additionally, consumers participating in one of a few specific programs may be able to benefit from routine home visits with their psychiatrist.
Medical Care Project
Eligible consumers participating in services at RBHA may choose also to receive primary medical services through a designated Primary Care Provider. This service is made available through a community partnership. Consumers should inquire through their Primary Service Providers for more details.
100000000 Dental Care Project
Eligible consumers participating in services at RBHA, who are in need of routine dental care, may seek referral to the Dental Care Program through their RBHA Primary Service Provider. This service is made available through partnerships with community providers.
The RBHA is proud to participate in the Central Virginia Health Care Project, a collaborative public/ private effort designed to expand, integrate, and coordinate medical and behavioral health care services in the region for uninsured individuals who would not be able to access these services elsewhere.
With generous funding from the Virginia Health Care Foundation, these agencies have partnered to develop this Project:
